Save Energy Systems, Inc. has been selected as one of six companies to receive funding through the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) InnovateMass program. The program aims to advance deployment of innovative clean technology in Massachusetts with the grants and matching funds that have been awarded.

Receiving a $150,000 grant, Save Energy Systems (with Next Step Living and Building 36 Technologies) will design and install wireless, battery operated in line duct dampers that optimize HVAC control, minimizing energy consumption.According to Paul Laskow, Save Energy Systems President, “Next Step Living and Building 36 Technologies are ideal partners to lead efforts within the residential market. The wireless dampers are an integral part of an automated energy management system that creates significant savings in heating and cooling costs by managing the temperature with each room, while allowing homeowners to remotely control the systems.”

“These new ideas and technologies will get their first real-world testing right here in Massachusetts, making the Commonwealth a staging ground for innovation once again,” Alicia Barton, CEO of MassCEC.

The upcoming project will include installing the wireless duct dampers in homes of the Greater Boston Area, allowing residents to see first-hand how much they can save on electrics bills with the use of technology from Save Energy Systems, Next Step Living and Building 36.
