DLC System Recognized for Improving Commercial Building Energy Efficiency

The Cleantech Open runs the world’s largest cleantech accelerator program. Their mission is to find, fund and foster entrepreneurs with big ideas that address today’s most urgent energy, environmental and economic challenges.

This past week, Save Energy Systems was recognized as one of six finalists from a group of 77 companies in the Northeast region.  We also received an award for the best Software/Service which in many ways validates the importance software can and will have on improving building energy efficiency performance.

Many of our clients and prospects have indicated they don’t have the time, resources or knowledge of energy management to effectively use products that require monitoring, data analysis and hands-on use to achieve energy savings.  For companies that have gone down the monitoring path, it may explain why there so many 3rd party services that offer to remotely take on the commercial energy management role for organizations.

Our simple, pragmatic solution is called the Demand Limiting Controller (DLC), and provides SMB’s with automated HVAC control and optimization.  The DLC uses an intelligent, networked energy management approach with predictive algorithms to maintain a productive environment.  The net result is significant cost savings and reduced commercial energy use.

Back to the CTO.

We applaud all the participating companies in the 2012 Cleantech Open and also wish the Northeast finalists headed to the Global Forum in San Jose the best!  2012 CTO was a fantastic experience that would not have been possible without the efforts of the CTO staff, volunteers, mentors and advisers – thanks.
